Student of the Month

Selection Criteria for “The Student of the Month”:

Each month, teachers will select a student who exhibits the following qualities on a regular basis:

1. Completes assignments on time
2. Completes homework on time
3. Comes prepared for class
4. Follows directions
5. Listens attentively
6. Respects others
7. Provides a positive role model for other students
8. Uses class time appropriately
9. Follows all classroom rules
10. Willing to help out in class

Announcement of "The Student of the Month" award:

1. Teacher will send the name of the "Student of the Month” to admin@alnoorislamicschool.com on or after the first Sunday of the month.
2. Students will be recognized during the lunch break with certificates on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
3. Teachers MUST keep all the record/data as to why the student was chosen to be “Student of the Month." This record will be kept to have a transparent decision AND to handle any questions or objections from a parent for any favoritism.​

Student of the Year

Selection Criteria for the "Student of the Year”:

Student of the Year award covers three main criteria:

1. Academic- Completes all assignments, submits all homework on time, must have an overall average of at least 90%.
2. Social- Must demonstrates consistently good behavior.
3. Attendance- Student must have 75% attendance.

The student must excel in their class, behave appropriately, must have a clean record without any warnings or disciplinary actions, and must respect all members of the school.


Announcement of  the "Student of the Year" award:

1. Selection for student of the year must be done by the teacher three weeks before graduation. The teachers will send the names of “The Student of the Year” to admin@alnoorislamicschool.com.
2. Students will be recognized on graduation day during the ceremony.
3. Teachers MUST keep all the record/data as to why the student was chosen to be “Student of the Year”. This record will be kept to have a transparent decision AND to handle any questions or objections from a parent for any favoritism.
